WHAT WE DO

• We hold regular Carer’s meetings to update Carers about the forum and its activities.
• A range of Carer’s resource material is available at our Centre.
• A helpline service with bilingual staff is available for emotional support.
• We Network with relevant Carers services and organizations to provide up to date information on services within the borough.
• Home visits can be arranged if required for support on services.
• A full page is dedicated to ACF in DOST our in-house bi-monthly newsletter updating Carers on events and services locally and nationally.
• All publicity material is available in Urdu and Gujarati.
• Benefit Advice Surgery for Carers is available on Tuesday’s on appointment basis.
• We signpost Carers to other services i.e. Carer’s assessment.

• We provide a variety of break services for Carers giving them a wide range of choice from weekly swimming sessions, monthly Pamper days, day trips, (weekend breaks and abroad trips subsidized)

• Providing a listening and advice service through the forum which range from one to one meetings, telephone support and home visits.

• We provide following sessions to encourage a healthier lifestyle: YOGA, Sauna, Holistic therapy and Swimming with a free transport service.
• We Encourage participation and promote activities for carers to look after their own health and well being.

• This specialized local needled service provides Asian Carers’ a platform to actively participate in a strategic decision making process on local level.
• We also encourage Carers to have a voice through our forum, share experiences, ideas, and have a social interaction with other Carers.
